United Kingdom
Aircon

hi all, with the warm weather here in the UK my aircon has been recently getting a lot of usage, last week or so the drivers front centre air vent doesnt blow cold, cool but not cold wheras all the other vents do blow a nice chill. I presume my ac needs a recharge but with all the other vents ok, seems odd ?

thanks

Could be a faulty blending valve - the system mixing cold air with ambient to get the desired temperature. A stuck one won't give full cold. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I had a similar issue with mine.
Ex RR technician said could need HVAC software update, not yet had it done tho.
Mine was v. cold passenger side, but driver side was warm

I had exactly the same thing. Bought a can of the correct refrigerant and a connector on eBay, topped it up and it’s been freezing cold ever since. £60 and fixed.

On several previous cars I’ve had, the first sign of low a/c refrigerant level seems to be one vent being less cool than the one next door to it - I can’t explain it but the above certainly worked for me! 2014 L494 V8 s/c Autobiography Dynamic
