Nothing like that shield on mine, might actualy foul someting on the L320 so could proably leave it off without a problem.

Yes thats what made me think if these could be off a FFRR and not a sport but if they’re the same after 2013 then thats a concern that shouldnt matter, I will take the shields off if theres no purpose for them.

It's a Air Cooling Duct for the brakes, shown on the L405 & L494 but no used on the L320.

If it's not fouling anything like driveshaft, hub etc. can't really see it would do any harm if you did leave them on.

Backplates on the facelift with 360mm discs, are the same as those with 380mm discs, so don't waste your money, they are not cheap.

I bought a pair in case, and didn't fit them as wasn't needed.

If you still want to buy genuine new, drop me a PM.

Oh thats good to know Dave, Yes the TRW brakes i have on my 2010 v8 are 360mm so thats great just seen the price about £70 each! Do i need pad wear sensors?

These look tight not sure if the extra 20mm would fit in this space Dave are you certain?

As I said the part number for the backplates is the same for the facelift 3.0L TDV6 the TDV8 and the 5.0L S/C so they are all the same.

Yes you did Col, I can see why ppl just give them to garages and say you do all the work and fit them 😃 Still on that photo it doesnt look like theres 20mm gap for the bigger discs but im sure they must fit if they’re the same.

It won't be 20mm, it will be 10mm as the overall diam. Is 20mm difference.

Cheers

Don't forget, it's only a 10mm difference really, as the 20mm increase is for the diameter.

However, if you need to spend some money,

Sensors will also fit.

That explains it Dave, only 10mm each side and you say my existing wear sensors will fit into these callipers which is a result, Looks like i only need to source this kit that bolts the pads in now, Anyone know the name and does that central bolt come with it please?

Found this full kit on ebay, Not sure if the rear disks would fit my2010 sport aswell or are they different size for the rear l494 anyone know? This just easy option if i get this then its just the clips and bolt i need to secure the pads in.

You may find the rear discs are different, as the L494 had a totally different park brake set up, the L494 being electrical the L320 being mechanical. In addition the first kit mentions 365mm diam. rear discs. The only L320 that had 365mm rear discs as standard was the 5.0L S/C I believe, so you may need to check the diam. of yours as they may well be only 350/355mm diam.

Looks like my2010 rrs mat have the 250mm rear discs Col, Powerfulluk hav ethis full kit with all the bits i might need, Noticed they do the Ebc ultimax 2 pads same as Maltings4x4 on ebay but they have some terrafirma discs so i think the britpart discs Powerfull uk sell mike be best option, Just not sure on these ebc ultimax 2 pads compared to the yellowstuff pads, Anyone know if theres much difference?
