I have a 2008 RR Sport 2.7 tdi HSE. Has done 86k miles. Had the car 1 month and dealer refuses to accept their issue. Had not been used for 6 months prior, evidenced by steering all stiff and joints needing to be lubricated. Has been running fine till I started getting fault light and going into limp mode. Normally after pushing car, but not excessive. Once I stop, turn off and on drives fine. Can happen a couple of times on a 10 mile journey. If I don't push the car generally no issue.
Struggled to find anything on here (probably my search skills). Any suggestions appreciated.

Any smoke from the Exhaust?
On my TdV8 I have had:
Black smoke - Split Intercooler hose, easy fix to do.
White Smoke - For me EGR valve, but could also be Turbo - not an easy fix. 2010 HSE TdV8 in Stornoway Grey.
Powerful Roof Rails and Spare Wheel protector

Easiest and cheapest starting point would be to blank off the egr valves seeing as you have the 2.7,, only thing on yours is I think you may need a software update to keep the engine management light off,,,, then see how it goes. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Thanks for the responses. Not aware of any smoke.
As for egr valve etc no idea how to do that.
I have it going into the garage Thursday so hopefully a simple fix
