United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Santorini Black
SVR Bumper Powerful Air Deflector

We have a 2017 RRS and are keen on modifying it to the facelift version. I brought an SVR style bumper pre-painted from Powerful UK and am about to take it to the local body shop to fit. So after watching their installation video I know the 3 air deflectors need modifying to ensure it fits.

It appears that the middle air deflector (LR062334) requires a simple straight cut, but the air deflectors on the right and left need more modification and cutting to a certain unknown shape.

So from my research, I am guessing I have 3 options but would welcome the opinions of others:

Option 1
Buy the 3 replacement air deflectors part number
LH corner air deflector (LR062397)
RH corner air deflector (LR062392)
Lower (middle) air deflector (LR062334)
Costs c. £750 unless I can buy them used but it is appearing to be difficult to find them.

Option 2
Modify all three air deflectors, the middle section appears to be a straight cut but the RH and LH corners appear to be challenging and I think need a template to adapt them (Does anyone have a template they can share?)

Options 3
Modify the middle air deflector and install the bumper minus the LH / RH deflector. Has anyone done this? Would installing the bumper without installing the rh and LH air deflector cause an issue?

Grateful for everyone's advice or alternatively a body shop near Bracknell / Reading / Slough that has experience of modifying these air deflectors. Talking to other Mod shops in Bradford they appear to modify the current air deflectors so I know it can be done.

Hello buddy,

I’m in the same position with the facelift, however a half decent body shop will be able to modify the existing by watching the video. I know the video you mean.

They really don’t have to be exact, if they can use a grinder and do it one shot, granted they made a template but. it ain’t an exact science. A body shop will likely use a Dremel but seriously a cm back and it won’t make a difference.

My big stress at the moment is a have everything but the SVR 18 Front Tow cover 🙈 driving me mad! It’s the sort of thing people don’t list because they are cheap but I really need one 😂

Regards

Craig

Also, I didn’t realise Powerful were still doing the kits, did you find it on the website?

Cheers

I modified all mine with a Dremel Thumbs Up
Straight cut across the front rubber flap and then marked the sides out with a white Tipex marker Thumbs Up

Thanks All!

This is super helpful, so I guess option 2 is the one I should go for. As mentioned the middle air deflector appears super easy to modify it’s the RH & LH deflectors that need modifying.

Let’s see what the body shop says. The biggest challenge is most trades just want an easy job. Would have had a go myself, but if my wife sees our £50k RRS in bits on the drive the divorce would be more expensive than buying new air deflectors.

I brought the bumper in November and had it delivered to my mums house. Only confessed up when my Mum mentioned over dinner in front of the family what was i going to do with the huge box in the garage. Whoops.

Thankfully we own 4 cars so I will drop the RRS off at the body shop
tomorrow and hopefully they can work wonders with their Dremel drill.
