Trim for side step fallen off

Is there a way to repair trim that has fallen off the side step rather than replacing the whole thing? I appreciate it’s an older car (12 plate) but has fallen off within 4 months of being in our ownership…
Picture is when it fell off whilst driving, it has been removed and the other side is now only attached at the front and back and coming away in the centre.

Any help would be great 😊

I keep a roll of 3m exterior double sided tape in the car, will fix almost anything that gaffer tape doesn’t! 2018 Telsa MS

Mine did the same.

Re-drilled and new rivets fitted and polished them up at the same time.

Jobs a good-en now, but there was more rust in areas than metal Laughing

This happened to me when I had my MY2010 sport. One end came off, so I drilled the rest of the rivets out, and had the trims blasted ready to powder coat. There wasn’t a great deal of them left. I bought a new set of trims and had them powder coated instead (from sidesteps.co.uk about £100) and refixed the new trims with self drill screws
