Yes I have done this - but always disconnect the battery as the air suspension can try and self- level etc …. And with our stating the obvious make sure you get a decent axle stand underneath- they are a lot heavier than standard cars . |

One raises the suspension because the wheels will stay on the ground until it's at full droop. By jacking it up, you've had the car do half of the work for you. And if you ever use the provided jack, you'll know why that's a good idea. The jack is borderline unusable. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Drive it up on a block of wood and stick a trolley jack under the lower suspension arm, won't matter what height the suspension is then.

I’ve jacked 00’s of rangerovers & never raised the suspension & never had a problem, just remember when you lower it all the doors have to be closed for it to self level. Andy.

As tyrefitter, when changing the winter/summer wheels over on the driveway. I’ve never raised from the standard position. When I’m done though I do raise then lower to access to standard to settle everything. I’ve never had a problem as a consequence or I’ve been lucky. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

Not raising to off road does not create problems.
