Codes

Hi everyone, 2010 range rover sport L320 luxury. I've got a permanent code U0242-00: lost communication with the headlamp control module B.
Can anyone offer some advice as to best place to start looking for a fault.
TIA

I'm not sure because it's never been out in the dark yet. Only had it 2 months and just fixing a few things. This is the last item on the fault codes to be fixed.
Can you tell from these pictures if they are AFS or not?

So you have an afs warning in the dash or orange light stuck on ?

Headlight should have AFS on the label if it is

Turn the lights when dark.
Do the lights do a dance
Or more accurately does one side dance Whistle

No warning light on the dash, of any kind. I'll check the headlights tomorrow as it's 60 mph winds and rain out just now. Just checked and no light dancing on auto or manual left or right.

Thank you, I'll check that ASAP. Will the gap lld be the correct diagnostic for this?

That is L/R's description of the fault code, if the Gap IID gave you that code it seems to me to be the most logical place to start, rather than "well it could be this, could be that" however I'm sure codes can be incorrect sometimes.

Cheers

I thought it could be an afs problem.
But it sounds like a high beam assist problem.
