Reverse lights staying on

On my second RR and getting through some of the vaults it has come with and this forum has been great and fixed some already.
A new one appeared last night- noticed during the night that the reverse lights where on, wend out moved the car, shifted gears, switched back off and locked and lights stayed on- checked in the morning and lights off, but done the same again today when started- any ideas would be greatly received. Its a 2007 HSE model. thanks again Mhairi

well 2 options really

1) The relay build into the CJB (fusebox is getting stuck on)
2) something wrong with the gearbox ecu or linkage thinking its in R (unlikely as you would have trouble removing the key)

or I could make it 3 options:

Please note, are you using the LR fob button to turn the headlights on to light up your driveway ?
When enabled in the CCF, pressing the button a further time will turn the reverse lights on. So ensure you aren't doing that

Thank you

Thanks Andy for your help. Fingers crossed it’s not done it since, and will check the fob settings through the LR button and check it’s not that. Thanks again for taking the time to reply
