United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

So I've established my FBH is functioning, it's below 4 deg here and as got out of the car I could here it running along with an odd smell, the exhaust pipe from it was hot and the air intake seemed to be functioning. There doesn't appear to be any timing options in the menu for it though so I need to look into the various options for this or a remote blipper perhaps, any pointers as to what to do regarding this? Bow down

There are more remote start options than you would believe !

You can text your car to start the heater. Good if your car is out of remote range. These are more expensive
And can be a pain to keep the sim alive

The best value for yours is probably the factory landrover option.
You fit a box in the boot and buy the CORRECT remote.
Though you probably need a gap iid. Humm

Hi,

I had a "discostick" remote which uses the 3rb button on the remote to start the FBH via the lights, it worked very well and was easy to fit they do come up for sale now and again, but as said you do need to be in key remote range to operate it
they look like this from over on D3

Thumbs Up

I'll look to get the timed software update as a remote is probably not needed. I can't help but think what is the point of the FBH if it cant be switched on prior to starting the vehicle as normal Question

The point is it keeps the engine upto temperature, for efficiently and reliability

Hi,

dont know if this will affect the running Question

but where does the air intake come from and does it have the black plastic "filter" box on it, looked at some of my pics and the intake is above the exhaust tube.

Thumbs Up

Here's the manual for the heater:
https://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/albums/u...en-WEB.pdf

Hopefully that will help. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
