I had some 10mm knocking around so fitted them to the rear to see how it looked much improved but a little close on the threads so you need bolt on spacers and the thinnest I’ve found are 20 and 25mm. This is what I’ll be fitting soon. Steve

Don't just don't rear wheel spacers will wear out your front tyres on the inside edge inside 8000 miles. Rest of tyre ok but down to cores on inside edge |

I wouldn't really know, but that sounds more like a alignment issue rather than being caused by the spacers, but I guess it's always possible.

I think inner wear is caused by a lot of full lock putting the full weight of the front end on a very small contact patch. Just had this on SWMBOs Merc ML.

I would have been inclined to think if both tyres are wearing on the inside edges that would be more to having to much toe out or negative camber angle, outside edges would be to much toe in, if it was related to to much steering lock would it not be on both inner and outer edge depending on left or right lock as you would in effect trying to push the tyre sideways, and the outer edge on one tyre would be trying to roll under and the inner edge on the opposite tyre trying to do the same, depending on left or right hand lock.

Hi Col - in SWMBOs case it was inner and outers that were severely worn. |
