Brake discs @ pads l494 2016

I need to order on-line, Is there a way of ensuring I end up with the correct parts for front and rear brake discs and pads
I need to change pads as a minimum, but may as well change discs at the same time. (44k miles)
When I bought my l494 back in 2016, I specified the bigger brake option on the front, they are red Brembo, but that name doesn’t seem to uniquely identify the brakes for my car?
Would topix tell me my exact spec? (I can’t access it though)
Any clues on diameters, part numbers etc would be appreciated 2016 L494 HSE

I'm not sure that you are correct that the Brembo option gave bigger brakes. I bought an HSE in 2017 and investigated this option and to me it appears to only offer a red caliper branded Brembo. I checked through the specifications at the time and the brake discs were the same size as standard. I appreciate that this doesn't directly help you but it may be that the standard pads are what you want.

I’ve just thrown a full set of discs in scrap as I upgraded mine to these & they were a reasonable price.

Andy, what brand & spec did you go for?

Link to purchase please Bow down Bow down Bow down
Had drilled and grooved on my old disco 3 for years, they never made any difference to the braking, however No way near as much dust on the wheels.
Will be looking for these on my sport when the time comes Thumbs Up

In 2015, when I specced the car, on the front, the bigger red callipers Tyrefitter shows in his pics was an upgrade, think they were bigger diameter, 380mm discs. I have seen newer cars with what look size-wise to be the same, just not painted red. Maybe they standardised on these bigger front brakes after my16. 2016 L494 HSE

Thanks, all for your responses - spoke with local motor factor who identified the correct disc and pad sizes via their systems.

I also had bad corrosion to both rear brake lines (6 years old) thanks Tyrefitter for your 2019 post concerning these. Seems like they are a well known weak point on these cars. Your photos helped me confirm with my motor factor the correct parts needed. Amazing how the main lines that these connect to are like new in comparison. Definitely something for owners to look at from as early as 4 years old.

Hi, Tyrefitter got the brake lines and fitted them today, in the end, not as bad a job as it appeared.
I couldn’t find out what the brake line material was, I’d have liked something that was corrosion proof, but these are definitely bare steel, I don’t suppose they’re stainless tube??
Assuming they’re mild steel, what would you recommend to protect them for the future? Without any better idea, I’m thinking of smearing them in Waxoyl, though I keep seeing adverts for Lanoguard, any ideas? 2016 L494 HSE

Resurrecting an old thread, apologies.
Just passed my MOT today with the single advisory of Front Discs wearing. Not urgent, but something I will start investigating.
I have (as far as I know) completely standard as-built front brakes, so what would anybody recommend as a replacement and where would be a good place to go? A number of years ago I made the mistake of buying cheapest and the discs warped quite quickly (it was on an Audi) so as this is my first RRS I'd be keen on recommendations. I'm not after an upgrade or particular improvement, I'm quite happy with the stopping power I have got.

Try autodoc.co.uk
Takes a couple of weeks to arrive from Germany but quality parts, I went for brembo discs approx £120
for the front pair
I also upgraded to ebc yellowstuff pads from eBay which I’m impressed with 2015 RRS DIESEL HYBRID
