Front sensors.

Front sensors and rear are on according to GAPIID.Rears are working fine, My bumper is off on the front as they may have the sensors which aren't working, checking them out , all of them seem to be working . There are no fault codes. Could it be that the front sounder is not working and wherre is it positioned please .Cheers Pat

Sounder is part of the IPC

If you have the indicator tick, key in ignition bong etc, the front sounder is fine, and your fault lies elsewhere

Indicator tick as in each of the four sensors , then yes. Orange light on the on off button steady . I will check the ignition bong tomorrow , battery off for fitting air condenser at the moment.
. Thank you.

IPC being the control module?

Hmm, not quite getting that. What has the indicators got to do with the parking sensors.
Is what you're saying Mikey is the instrument panel do checks and one them is a bong that sensors are ok?

I would hazard a guess he means the same sounder is used for the direction indicators etc. as the parking sensors, so if it is working with the indicators there is nothing wrong with the sounder.

Cheers

Most sounds come out of the same speaker in the instruments.
Eg indicator tick Tok, front park sensor beep

If you have no front sounds the instruments are faulty.
If you do have front sounds then it’s related to park sensor module only. The fronts could be configured as not fitted.

OK I will check that , I know the front and rears are configured to work as a pair just now but rears only beep.
there is maybe something missing in the ccf. I have missed.

Next job inlet manifold replacement , here we go . I will update as I find there are a lot of unfinished queries on here. Or a lot of queries unfinished.!

OK, I have no bongs when I open the door , or when indicators a used or when the key is in the ignition, so can I assume that that would be the reason why I cant hear the parking sensors are not audible? Again no faults for parking sensors a dash button is lit and not flashing. I can see there are videos to take the instrument cluster out , but would the sounder be repairable.

Thanks did a read, I have the cluster out know and some clown has been there already , white clips broken bar two and a botch soldering job has been done , probably without success , so will have look for a speaker to fit. I reckon the rear one bight be the same kind. Anyway will have to determine if it is broken first.
