Looks a lot better than I first thought. The silver & copper one is really nice. Thumbs Up However what is this obsession with all manufacturers having the screen sitting proud of the facia, They are all at it. The BMW IX screen looks like they bought a couple of brackets from B & Q & screwed it to the facia Big Cry Range Rover Sport (gone): Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S: Range Rover Fifty P400e

Totally agree with the screen comment.

Compared to the mightly AJV8, the switch to the BMW N63B44T3 does not bode well:

I think Mercedes were one of the first to switch to the floating screen design across their range of cars and the reasoning behind it was it meant that during a refresh, if they needed to upgrade the screen, it was a lot easier (cheaper) to simply swap out a floating screen and keep the dash design the same rather than create (and retool) a brand new dashboard each time.

I dont think the design looks awful in the new Range Rover, but its not amazing either.

Makes it easy to have optional screen sizes without having to have different dash mouldings. Just fit the different size screen in front of the same dash. Money saved. Kerching! Whistle 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
