Buying my First RRS
In the market for my first RRS, Budget isnt huge £10-11K
Looking at one in Kettering this week, its 2010, 120K and full service up to 100K main dealer.
Had the cambelt done and I'm told the gear box oil.
Dealer is sorting a winning noise from alternator, said hes replacing some of the pulleys.
Any advice be greatly apricated.
Many thanks
Chris

when you sit inside the vehicle, check all the electric stuff works, click all the switches, turn on all the lights.
check the 4x4 sytem works ( low range ), check the terrain response works.
check interior for wear/tears, pull the sunroof blind closed. on test drive check for knocks, rattles, whurring coming from outside the car.
test the suspension works, set in high position & leave it there, check under the car for corrosion.
listen to engine at idle for knock or rattles, rev to 2500 - 3000, should be smooth no hesitation or any rattles or knocks.
if buying a 4.2 a light knocking sound that goes quiet when reving is possibly down to the supercharger being faulty.
never buy a vehicle with body rot!

Thanks that a great help, will check everything I can before agreeing a deal.
It's a RSS 3.0 TDV6 that I'm looking at, fingers crossed it wont be a lemon.
I have test drove two now, and love the driving position, the look and comfort.
