2009 EGR remap question

My 2009 2.7 v6 is booked in next week to have the EGR deleted from the ECU but leaving the EGR valves in place but closed, IS IT BEST STILL TO FIT THE BLANKING PLATES with the valves permanently closed , the guys doing the remap dont remove anything even the butterfly valve in the throttle body, once the EGR delete is done i can always remove the butterfly valve myself at some stage, what you guys think, cheers
