United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Siberian Silver
2009 Both front doors not locking

Hi all. Fresh recruit here. Recently picked up a rrs 2009 after trading in my D3 which I loved.
I'm having an issue with the front doors locking from the remote. All doors unlock from the fob and the dashboard button. All other doors and boot lock from the fob just not the front doors. They also don't seem to react to the lock button on the dash.

Am in the process of rebuilding a '98 110csw so know my way around a tool box. Am more than happy to swap the solenoid mechanism if needed but seems a coincidence that the two both have the same issue.

Any suggestions as to a possible cause would be gratefully accepted.

Ps its my first post here so be gentle lol

Hi and welcome, I believe the door locks are not an uncommon problem. I actually have an issue with mine at the moment,, won't lock off the door button so have to resort to the fob,, but unlocking isn't a problem. It's the drivers door on mine but just not got round to it yet, most likely a new latch mechanism required as I don't think it's a serviceable part. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Hi. They seem cheap enough to buy. Wasn't sure as it was both whether they were on a common supply or earth etc. Somethings obviously getting through as both unlock just not lock.

Have a look on U tube,, few articles on there especially n removing the door card and getting access to the mechanism which can save you a lot of time as some of the fixings are well hidden. I think there is a difference in price if you are buying for keyless entry type so make sure you have the correct one.,,, whatever you buy don't do cheap and cheerful Laughing. Use the search function on here,, door lock will bring up a lot of posts and you will see the problems others have had,,, and maybe a solution. 2010 RRS, TDV8
