Does yours have the split tailgate (the glass is openable separately from the main boot lid). If so, the switch is known to corrode and can cause a drain. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I see on another post that you have the split tailgate. So that might be worth a look. Also, you're looking for a spoiler trim piece. There is wiring behind the spoiler and if it's broken and letting water in, that might cause corrosion in a connector or similar. The connector for the heated rear glass in in there and known to corrode over time leading to non-working defrosting of the rear glass. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yes split tailgate. Which switch di you mean? the handle under the glass to open the top glass? Spoiler all looks good - replaced the camera today thats why i know its broken. Thanks |

Yes, the rubber switch to open the glass. It is known to corrode. Do a search on the forum and you'll find some how-to posts in there. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
