It would be cheaper to hire a car for the trip than risk a destructive failure of the engine in your RRS. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I wouldn’t risk it, get a hire car instead like other poster has also suggested… |

Unless you take the advice given, ie don't use it, get a rental, your future post will probably be on the lines of " is it cheaper to get a rebuild or a new engine"

I understand your point of view and you are correct. I have not sent the oil filter yet but I will see a specialist tomorrow to give me his opinion. I would also look tomorrow for a car rental, it is wiser. |

I have insurance for breakdowns with a replacement car, but I don't want to break my engine. I love my RR too much. I would seek the advice of a specialist tomorrow with the oil filter on me and look to rent a car. Holidays without RR will not be the same ... |

I come to give news, the company which analyzes the oil announces to me that the oil must have 2000kms for a reliable analysis. So I have to wait and take the risk of riding this distance. Unless I find a garage that can analyze the engine. |
