Reduced Performance

Hi my RRS 2012 HSE went into limp mode two days ago shortly after start up on a cold frosty morning, however after having switched off and restarted all seemed to be good again warning light gone and full performance restored. Unfortunately warning light and reduced performance returned today while driving on motorway. Diagnostic revealed fault codes p2263 and p007A, so I erased codes and have driven all day with no issues. Engine pulls like a train, no smoke etc beautifully smooth. Any thoughts what problem could be ? Thanks

Error codes are incomplete so assume it's a generic code reader. Could the be a split inlet manifold - not unusual. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Mine was a crossover pipe same model year at the rear close to the bulkhead. It took a few trips to the shop to get it nailed and was a quick fix. 2018 Telsa MS

Hi I posted about a similar issue the other day but didn't get any responses on here.

Mine is doing the below

Looking for abit of advice, I put my footdown the other day and experienced a restricted performance scenario. My friend came straight to me plugged in the snap on diagnostics and it only produced a p1247 code.

Anyway turned the car back on and problem gone. Hasn't happened since and have had the machine left with me for 2 weeks so I could check and not a single issue of restricted or accompanying error code. However I do get a boost noise up until I believe turbo B kicks in circa 2500rpm and then the boost leak noise stops.

Can someone point me in the right direction as I can't find any faults matching mine?

How did you ascertain it was a crossover pipe?

Your error code is incomplete but is possibly down to a cracked inlet manifold. It's a known issue, sadly. Solution is to fit a new one. Not the cheapest of jobs, sadly. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

It took my Indie a few tries to find the crossover pipe issue, the car would behave for days then the fault would appear. A few codes appeared but nothing leading to the crossover pipe. This was on a MY12 3.0. 2018 Telsa MS

I dont get any error codes other than the P1247, I've tried several diagnostics machines including a land rover one and can't get anything more coded. The p1247 happened once and only once. Is it common for the boost noise leak noise to stop around 2500rpm as the second turbo kicks in?

Thanks

Mine sounded like the turbo had been bypassed when it occurred. Again codes didn’t help, time to find a good indie to help out. 2018 Telsa MS
