Hopefully someone can advise me.

I have recently purchased a 2006 Range Rover Sport, but it has been fitted with 20ins wheels. Am I correct in thinking the stock wheels would have been 19ins?

If this is correct and I have just fitted new struts all round, do I need to allow extra height when I recalibrate the suspension to allow for the bigger wheels, or am I just over thinking it?

When bigger wheels are fitted, smaller height tyres are usually fitted, so the overall diamter is the same

It's worth remembering that height calibration is done using the height between the centre of the axle and the underside of the wheel arch. Thus the size of the wheel is actually entirely irrelevant to the height calibration.

Yes, a different overall diameter will affect ride height because it raise/lower the axle height, but it won't change the distance between the axle centreline and the the wheel arch and thus the calibration won't notice the change. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Mine is a 2005 4.2L supercharged and came with 20 inch wheels as standard as far as I know.
Have you checked that 20 Inch weren't standard on yours? 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

Mine is a 2007 TDV8 HSE and came as standard with 20 inch wheels.

My 2006 came with 19 inch wheels. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

I'm sure I read somewhere that 20" wheels should not be fitted on the 2.7 pre-facelift L320's because the steering rack is not up to the job.

The early 2.7 didn't have the uprated steering rack that the V8 petrol and diesel had from day 1. They fitted it around 2008-9(?) to the 2.7 so they then all had the same rack.

The early 2.7 probably shouldn't be run with 20s although plenty of people do, of course, and will report that it's fine. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
