Op does mention new squib which I assume is the clock spring, you wouldn't be able to actualy plug the heated steering wheel in if it was the non heated clock spring as there is no socket for the plug.

Yes, clock spring (squib) has the heated connection.

I've not edited the CCF to enable heating with IID Tool, but if that was the only problem, surely everything else would still work, bar the heating? As it stands it has a meltdown! |

I wouldn't know if it would make any difference or what the difference may be although they were a slightly different colour or at least on the early one, but the part numbers for the switch packs on the D4 are different to the Sport.

I had the issue when I brought a 2012 wheel and switch packs from a Discovery 4, enabled ccf but couldn’t get any of the switch packs to work properly. I threw in the towel in the end and brought a new heated wheel and switch pack from Duckworths Land Rover using my chassis number, and when i fitted it there were no issues and everything worked correctly 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
