My 2016 has developed a knocking noise from the rear,
I have narrowed it down to when I am turning right at low speeds, sometimes a odd clunk then sometimes clunk clunk clunk.
It’s done 55k 3.0 diesel I don’t think it’s a cv joint had then go before and it’s a different sound, it may not do it for a couple of days then 3 times in a day it’s a deep clunk/thud.
Thanks in advance

I had a similar noise and thought it was propshaft. Turned out not to be but I don't think you should be able to turn your propshaft at all - so half an inch is a lot (as the actress said to the bishop.) The question is whether it is the UJs or the diff...Robin

Thanks for the feedback had a good look underneath this weekend as put new discs and pads on the front and all look good, I think the next thing to look at is draining the oil from the diff to see if there is any metal contamination.
Unless anyone can advise anything else to look at? If it is the diff is it a new one or can I take mine to be repaired I am based in Kent.

Sounds like you need a good local indie to take it to. Not sure about ones in Kent and Sussex (where I am) is probably a bit too far, but let me know if Heathfield is within your range - as Kent is a pretty big county...Robin
