is there a strut for the one piece non electric tail gate ? 2012 SDV6 HSE (technically its hers)

Ive seen these on Ebay, are some tailgates electric & some manual?

That is interesting as L/R do appear to show that gas strut for the one piece tailgate from Vin. CA on as well as the electric strut, to be honest always though all one piece tailgates were electric, possibly for a different market though, or the parts list is wrong.

It turns out the spring/retaining clip on the socket of the strut has broken, can these be replaced? |

Yes you can and you need something like those shown in the picture, however as normal L/R do not list them separately.

Wouldn't it be better just to use the correct parts and do the job properly? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
