Well, bit disapointed today to say the least.

I spoke to Pentland Dundee when we got the car and was told it would be serviced prior to collection. Got the car, asked if it was done, yes.
Checked VIN on landrover system and no stamp ( or whatever the online version is ) so emailed and I was told because its not a full service just the oil and all filters its not recorded..... as you can imagine a tad upset.
Looked up Elgin Pentland who quoted £850 for the service, so emailed them and told them what had happened, the remaining service will be £300 with a car for the day. Lovely service at Elgin so far but has anyoe else come accross this? Took till today to even get the log book for it as well and the 2 year warrenty seems very limited - again we wernt told or shown this prior to purchase.

What a shame a lovely car and time for us has been spoilt a bit by these events, I wont use the Dundee dealer again thats for sure.

Having a play Very Happy

I hadnt realised you dont NEED to open these ECU's anymore with the correct tool and GPT. Got myself full backups anyhow. Cant remember ever being so careful with a customers ECU in the past hahahaha Very Happy

Thank you Smile

New toy so Im loving it Smile

I also found yesterday the cluster is reprogramable with a ford/mazda device I have ( I changed dash in a previous car due to an issue ) - I was going to flog it but I have noticed the speedo needle flickers sometimes which isnt a big deal.... but it annoys me incredibly so I might but a new one if its not just a dry solder joint and reprogram the millage Smile

Also, I have opened a LOT of ECU's in the past.... hundreds if not thousands. I have never seen one with its own cooling fan before Surprised - Quite a cool idea tbh as some get stupidly hot.

Well, in a strange turn of events I managed to get hold of an alive map Surprised

Seems an old mate I was telling about the car today knows the owner and got me it Smile Sorry to waste your time Mikey, but this is better than posting it away to you and tbh I am impatient. I appreciate your time in PM.

ECU mapped and all put back together, installed, car started first time ( twitchy bum monent! )

Check the wee fan to cool the ECU! Very Happy

God its quick now... junctions seem ok so far but not had a big run out. Will test later tonight properly. It will also take a while to settle after a reset.

Just been out a proper run, damn its quick! That bloke obviously knows what he's doing!

I will reset mpg after blasting it and see how it is after a few weeks Smile VERY happy! I must say I am also impressed how planted the RRS feels at speeds. I expected a LOT more roll.

Does anyone know what these are? One on headlining, one under drivers seat.

I was looking as I wondered if I could just add headrests to the rear. Not sure if they are just plug and play or not tho with coding? Saw a post on disco forum but these things confuse me.

I had thought it was 30 previously but when I checked it was down to 28. Hopefully this continues Very Happy

TV tuner under the front seat, wireless headphone transmitter/volumetric alarm sensor in the headlining, does the car have dual view screen by any chance? if it is a black edition if I remember right they threw in a few options foc. as part of the package as it was the run out model.

Cheers
Col

Thank you Col, it is a HSE black edition yes ( altho its grey? )

The headphone thing makes sense as they are wireless headphones in the glove box.

It has a dual screen as in passenger/driver see different things yes. Does this mean I can buy tv screen headrests and just plug them in? Ive googled myself to death but it seems to be a minefield Sad

Basically last of the L320's produced before they introduced the L494 RRS 2. That's just a 3.5 jack socket to plug in external devices.

Have to admit I do like that colour.

Cheers
