This is for D4 and L320, not sure if same for L494 but worth a try I guess.

it does work..you need to follow the instructions to the letter and you might need to try a few times and try with the ignition on,

Hi I have a MY13 L320 and mine would not disable the keyless entry, also it would not allow me to program new keys with the GAP tool, but after talking to Patrick at GAP, he sent across a file to flash the key module with and also a special procedure for programming new keys, which worked a treat but after flashing the module I can now disable and re-enable the keyless entry system, if yours is an early L494 it may be the same, just a thought. |

Agree. Tried this about ten times on my 2012. It didn't work. As for "follow instructions to the letter", it is hardly difficult. Open door, sit in drivers seat, lamp button 3 times, and unlock button once. Not sure if it's a typo, but I tried this sequence with the "lock" button instead. Still nada. The suggestion that the key module might need a kick up the A is worth considering . Alan Series 3 109 Classic 2-door 101FC GS Three P38 4.6L RRS mk1 2012 |

I must admit it took me an age to get the process right.
