Lumma Style (LM) bodykit DRL wiring

Hi all,

Our car is having a Lumma style kit fitted at my local bodyshop tomorrow but I don't have any info on how to wire up the new front DRLs. There are four wires:

Black & Red (fairly obvious that these are +12v & GND)
White
Yellow

Ive never had the bumper off before and the bodyshop aren't keen on messing around with the wiring but they're local and friends of mine so I'm, planning on nipping round and doing it myself or getting them to run the loom to the best place for me to wire up later. The supplier of the kit havent been helpful on wiring instructions.

So my question is has anyone done this and if so can they point me in the right direction as to where is the best place to connect these wires to the existing lighting lighting/power circuit? There's nowhere obvious under the bonnet so I'm assuming it either needs to be done with the bumper off or behind one of the wheel arches.

Thanks.

Can anyone tell me,

What wire on the headlight connector is for the side-lights?

Best place in the fuse box to get ignition live and permanent live?

Thanks for this but the image is too low-res for me to be able to actually read it.

Does it show the pin number or the wiring colour for the sidelight?

Just to clarify:

Red/Orange on one head & red/black on the other?

Assume there's only one wire for the side light on each side?

You've just saved me an awful lot of time and hassle with a voltmeter.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me with this. I really appreciate it. Thumbs Up

Just had the wiring out and there’s no red/black or red orange wires going into the back of the plug. Having done some digging on the net, it appears that the document you've put up above is for the L320 - not the L494.

Can anyone help with the appropriate diagram for the L494?

I have DRLs on all my cars . The trick is to take a 12v relay put one side of its coil to ignition switched live ( jumper in fuse box)and the other to the sidelights. when the ignition is on and the sidelights off the relay gets its earth thro the sidelight bulbs. Turning on the sidelights turns off the DRLs
Wire the relay contacts to switch the DRLs on . EPLS Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.
