OK so it looks like I'll be taking the boot to pieces over the weekend then Current car - 2016 MY17 L494 in black - sometimes towing a Buccaneer Cruiser.

Download the workshop manual here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/t7a6drmb6m4...3.rar/file It looks like the external switch is a bit involved to get to on the 2013 and is removed from the inside. On the original version, the rubber faced switch was an easy job and it basically just pulled out. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Easy enough get to once trim panel removed, just clips into the piece of silver trim by no. plate lamps with couple of lugs.

Well I replaced the boot strut - so that doesn't flip off!
