i used a 10mm pipe coupling to the rubber hose piping since there was no way it would open. been fine for a few thousand miles since.

The pipes were never designed to be cut. To do so is just a bodge, IMO

then order the pipe that goes to the pump i think? before you start

I realize that the pipes were not designed to be cut, however they were poorly
