RRS l320 ACE pipes repair.

Hi, can anyone tell me what size OD are the metal ace pipes on RRS l320 &
what size couplers need to join pipes.

Thanks.

There are a couple of threads on here which contain the info.

Search ACE pipes leaking or look for the author Brit_plumber.

I think the OD is 10mm as I bought some for mine but never used them as i replaced the complete pipes in the end.

Hi Wombat,
Thank you for your prompt reply, I thought also that the pipes are 10mm.
I have seen several posts regarding cutting & joining using 10mm copper pipe & plumbers
brass compression couplers, however I believe the pressure in pipes @ circa 135 bar would
would be way to high for both of these items? I thought that I would contact my local Pirtek
branch & see if they could make up Hydraulic hoses to replace damaged parts, but wanted
to know for sure that they were 10mm OD before doing so.

Thanks again, Be Lucky.

i used a 10mm pipe coupling to the rubber hose piping since there was no way it would open. been fine for a few thousand miles since.

my issue was more ensuring the filter drain plug doesn't snag the oring since that leaked like a bitch. same with the ram connectors.

The pipes were never designed to be cut. To do so is just a bodge, IMO

Do the job right, or give it to someone who will...

I realize that the pipes were not designed to be cut, however they were poorly
designed in the first place! i.e. the way they were routed, the poor retaining clamps which just hold all
the mud salt etc. & then rust through.
I actually think that cutting pipes where they are good & using High pressure hydraulic pipe & unions will
be better, last longer, than original design.
