PRE HEATER - cuts off after 5 minutes ?

I have RRS autobiography 2012.
It doesnt matter if its pre set on the timer or via keyfob remote.
The heater cylces up and sounds as if its at full heat mode. But after 5 minutes it just switches off.

Does anyone know why it would do this ?
Is it a low battery issue ?

I have noticed that when I am cleaning the car with the radio on, that also swotches off after about 5 minutes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Brian.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I had the same thing the other day, after scanning the fault codes it cut out due to low voltage threshold so i would plug in your battery charger Thumbs Up Forgot to add if there is a low fuel level in the tank the pre heater will also not start Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

I'd go with battery on this one - mine did similar once or twice during self isolation and it wasn't getting a decent run out. Give it a blast out somewhere for an hour or so.

Also the radio does that anyway to save battery. L494 3.0L SDV6 Autobiography in Chile Red (Current)
