I have been offered a 58 plate black rrs hst 3.6 tdv8

90k, decent history , everything works (suspension , handbrake etc)

However once warmed up it overheats

I am aware of this so would be buying it with my eyes open and fixing it

Guy wants 7000, I think once fixed if it doesn’t cost the Earth it would be worth a fair bit more and would be a nice car

Question is , worst case scenario what’s wrong with it ? I’m guessing it could be head gasket but also might be something more simple , water pump / fan ?

I think it won't be worth a fair bit more once sorted, to be honest. Maybe a couple of grand? But a head gasket is a body off job so better hope it's not that.

Overheating could be as simple as a failed thermostat or a blocked radiator core or a temperature sensor. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
