2014 vs 2018

Evening all,

This is more of an observation/discussion..

I have a 2014 L494 which has gone to the dealer with a park brake fault.

In its place I’ve been given the facelift 2018 RRS. Both mine and the replacement are Dynamics.

There is the obvious change to the exterior and interior.

But what surprised me is how much more refined the engine, steering and suspension feel.

The engine is quieter with less vibration, the suspension softer (both on 21s) and the steering much lighter.

Has anyone else noticed this when swapping into the facelift/newer models?

Hi,

I went from a 2016MY AB to a 2019MY AB.

Chalk & cheese - the 2019 is far smoother, better tech, laser pixel LED headlights etc.

I went from a 14MY to a 17MY to an 18MY. The 18MY is night and day ahead in most aspects, even seats and headlights etc its not just about the tech inside.

That said, I had about 12 months of software issues until they released a stable update.
