OBD Port Moved? 2016 SDV8

So recieved delivery of my IID Tool having recently puchased my new RRS.

Skip out to the car to plug and play only to be upside down in my footwell rather confused. The OBD is nowhere to be seen! Nowhere!

So I can only guess it's been relocated to help prevent theft, is there a standard alternate location?

I've checked what feels like everywhere.

Sounds weird I thought they would all be in the same place on the driver side (UK) under the dash it seems set back more than the 1st gen ones maybe it has a cover over it? If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!

My understanding is that is industry legislated to be in the same place relative to the steering wheel. Pretty much a worldwide standard.

I've heard that some tracker/security companies move the OBD ports to stop would-be thieves from starting the car via it.

Do you know if there's a tracker or similar on the car? MY16 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic

It has the land rover tracking capabilities through the incontrol app but no third party tracker.

I've tried calling LR that have undertaken the recent services for the car and they have no information on file about the OBD port being relocated.

Follow the wires back....the common method of relocating the obd is to add an extension or tie it off up behind the dash panel....
Basically anything which hides it away from the original location...it won’t be far away..it just needs a quick look...
