My 08 RRS has an issue which comes and goes. When going right or around a roundabout the DSC light comes on and it feels as if the front left-hand wheel is braking.

I have recently changed my wheels and it seems to do it more often now. I have checked tyre pressures and fluid levels etc.

Going to my local garage on Wednesday for them to plug it in and see if any codes etc show.

Not sure what it could be 🤔

You can press the DSC switch to stop it doing it.

Could be an ABS sensor has been knocked when the wheels were changed. That would give it the willies in certain situations. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

If I turn DSC off, the problem does go away. So something is being over sensitive/faulty or needs calibration.

Hopefully my local garage can runs some checks when plugged in.

if you have an IID you can calibrate yourself

Garage couldn't find any codes logged. They checked tyres pressures again and noticed they were all over the place, even though I checked them at a petrol station (think there gauge must be wrong)

Now got 36psi in each. DSC hasn't come on since. Chucked it around a few corners and seems fine. Time will tell...

!... The DSC activated once on the way to work this morning. Its certainly better than it was, but still a niggle.

So maybe 4 wheel alignment is my next thing to have checked.

My local garage did plug it in yesterday and there wasn't any faults logged.

Changing the wheels/tyres has certainly upset something slightly.

36psi all round is a bit low at the back (or high at the front if you prefer). I'd put the pressures to standard (on the label on the driver's door) and then work from there. I tend to run my fronts a couple of psi higher than standard because I find the ATs I run are happier that way. With a pure road tyre, the pressures should work better if the relationship between front and rear pressures follows the standard. i.e. if you go up a couple at the front, go up a couple at the rear too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I will try 33psi at front and 36psi at rear as per what is says on the door sticker. I have new michilens tyres fitted.

Would 3psi really make a difference?

Also check the rear wheels (brakes) aren't hot on one side compared to the other. After a journey

So adjusted the pressures to 33psi front and 36psi rears. Driven it around lots of twisty roads and roundabouts and it's behaved.

The rear passenger tyre had lost a few psi over the night. Found that the valve core was abit loose so nipped it up.

I had a very similar problem to you though the effect varied sometimes. Had steering sensor done, made it slightly better. Played around with tyre pressures, no discernible difference. It was a real pain with a trailer on the back!

I eventually had the front Brembo callipers rebuilt as I had a sticking driver's side. This cured it immediately, so mech and I believe that the n/s/f calliper was slightly sticking so when turning right under load made the DSC believe it was locking up or spinning? Whichever.

If you've got Brembos, there's a rebuild kit on eBay for about £70 for both sides - new pistons, seals and other bits. Tyre pressures really shouldn't be that sensitive and affect DSC etc, so is worth checking out.

Hmmm.. that's food for thought. I do have brembos and have had constant sqeauling brakes for ages. What you say does make alot of sense. This is definitely something I will look into if problem persists.
