Throttle body problem

When the car was apart I think the throttle body plate was opened and closed. Now whenever I floor it the car cuts out completely. But not when in Park.

I've attached the error codes. Do I need to reset the throttle body somehow?

Interesting.

Do these have a mechanical cable between pedal and throttle body ?
I know the throttle iitself is electric

I guess it’s worried the throttle is open too far and cuts the engine

Does it drive ok apart from that ?
Unplug the throttle pos sensor and reconnect
Better monitor the live values. There are 2 tps readings. They should follow each other fairly closely

I think it's all electric. Also my fuel trims are constantly at 20%. So if the plate is open too much at idle then it'll be open too far at max throttle. Anyone know how to reset it? I have gap and the dealer software

The thing is it works fine in Park? Or does the throttle body not open fully then?

But the fault occurs the idle basically Censored up, no longer steady. But I can clear the code there and then and it goes back to normal. So not a mechanical problem I think.

At idle the throttle will only open a little bit. Even if you rev it

I don’t think You can do a software calibration.

I've ordered a 2nd hand throttle body for like 30quid. I'll see how it goes. But it's the only thing wrong. Am tempted to just get a brand new one. But car will be off for a few days to get its alloys redone

Also does anyone know what the values for the throttle are meant to be at idle?

About 3% when cold.
Reducing when warm.

Or do you mean voltage ?
They should match

Yeah it's about 3% from what I remember. I think what happens is when I floor it it skips a gear due to damage and ends up opening too much.

I've also attached a picture of the throttle body

I dunno if also related but the cars just had the 10% sc pulley installed

Yet another edit, this is my idle, not sure which one I need but looks bad :p

small update it now also throws the p2101-29 code. and i can make it reproduce in park just by opening more throttle. am just waiting on a replacement TB and we'll see how it goes. I might just connect the new TB in terms of electronics and see if itll operate in key mode 2?

I can see the problem.

Track 1 and track 2 should be the same voltage. (or very close)

Yeah connect the replacement up to see if it works

am just hoping this fixes the issue. but now the car runs lean AF like 20% all the time, am hoping thats due to throttle body but the TB is past the MAF so not sure if the TB is taken into account when calculating trims.

It’s much worse than before is it? In terms of %

Has it gone the other way + to -

Do another smoke test if you have the equipment

its way worse than before, idle is just constant 20% short term and long term is around 22%. So am hoping its the TB issue. The first thing I did was smoke test, showed nothing at all.
