I had exactly the same earlier this year, turned out to be the MAF sensor that had gone.
Got it changed under warranty. Forgot the exact price, but dealer told me it would have been over £400!!!!
Replaced one on my Scooby a few years ago, and it was a £95 genuine part and about 10 mins to fit. You can't see the eyes of the demon until him come callin'

In my case it was a split inlet manifold causing restricted performance. So three replies to your post all suggesting actually a number of potential causes. You need to go to an indy or dealer and get the codes read.

Do not just search forums pay to have it plugged in could be something as simple as water sensor in diesel filter without diagnostics your taking a stab in the dark you may get lucky but more likely not

I had exactly the same symptoms. I took it to my local Indy who drained the fuel housing (error suggested water in the fuel) but got the same fault code so changed out the fuel filter housing...time will tell

Just had similar on my 2010 RRS TDV8. It was showing error code P023D Manifold absolute pressure- turbocharger/supercharger boost sensor correlation.
I took engine cover off and saw traces of soot on drivers side so after looking further I discovered a cracked inlet manifold.
Bought a new one and some injector bolts from guy salmond for £430 in total and ordered some injector seals from Advancedfactors who unfortunately couldn’t get inlet manifold due to back order issue.
Has it fitted yesterday by a garage I have used for 15 years for a labour charge of £200.
Have your codes read and check your inlet manifolds for cracks using soapy water.

United States

I had the same thing a couple of days ago with my 2011 5.0L V8. The Restricted Performance Red triangle came on and I was down to about 5mph (no engine warning light though). I pulled over and left the engine running for about 5 mins (in case it wouldn't start again) and when I came to pull away, the performance came back but the lights changed to an orange triangle and the DSC and EBD lights came on with the message "Drive with Caution, Stability Programme offline" (or words to that effect). I switched the vehicle off for a few hours and when I came to turn it back on, all the lights/faults cleared and all is back to normal. The only difference was, the car and dropped to access height so I had to raise the suspension before driving off.

There is also a whirring sound coming from the glovebox area (I am in the US so it's a LHD). Any ideas what this might be?

Half way through replacing both of my inlet manifolds on a 2011 RR Sport 3Lt HSE.

Does anyone know if I have to remove both EGR Valves to enable me to remove both fuel rails ??

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
Paul
