Last month (pre-lockdown), I fitted a set of the Meyle front lower arms from Advanced Factors to the RRS so I needed an alignment.

I fitted the new arms on the weekend and stupidly had not booked anywhere to get the alignment done. Based on this thread, I dropped Mark at Tyreshack a Facebook message on a Sunday afternoon not expecting to get a reply back until the following day but to my amazement I received a response almost instantly and to top it off, he was able to squeeze me in first thing Monday morning

The air suspension was put into tight tolerance mode and adjustments were made to the camber, castor and toe angles whilst I made use of the free coffee, Wi-Fi and chilled on the big leather sofas in their reception. The drive home felt great and very much 'planted' on the road.

Another thing I was very much impressed about was that they offer is a free alignment check and re-adjust within 3 months. This is great when you have just fitted new components that may need to bed in and could potentially throw the adjustment out a little over the first few weeks. As soon as the lockdown is over, I'll be popping back in for a check and optimisation!

The cost.....£50 all in. Fantastic value, great service and very professional. I will definately be using Mark and his guys again.

Coincidentally, they are just behind Advanced Factors, so very convenient if you need to collect any parts too!

Just to report back on this, I visited again on Monday for my free checkup. They found that the vehicle had settled a bit with the new bushes and needed a final tweak to optimise the geometry.

Again, fantastic service and I fully recommend these guys.

Is £50 their standard charge for that? Seems very reasonable.
Also are they just ‘tyreshack Southampton’ on Facebook?

I told them they were recommended on the forum and asked if the price was still £50 and they confirmed.

I think I’ll have to give them a go! Steering wheel is still ever so slightly wonky even after realignment recently following 4 new tyres and lower arms.

Yeh not many of us in Poole I doubt?
