P400e Arrived

Picked up our new P400e yesterday, this will be my first LR product so hoping i got a good un! My last British car was a TVR Chimaera i bought in 2004, despite all the horror stories it proved pretty reliable in the 4 years I had it Smile The RRS has replaced a X3 3.0d, first impressions are good, much more comfortable (the X3 had M Sport suspension!), but it does feel quite large since we've been driving round in my Scirocco for 6 weeks since the X3 went back.

here's some pics

pretty pleased i managed to average 79MPG on the way back from the dealers, just need to get my 7Kwh charger fitting, that's proving a challenge unfortunately!

I want to get some mud guards on, side steps and black wheels Very Happy

Smashing car well done!

Just a thought regarding mud guards i have had them fitted on 2 of the 4 L494 I've owned and genuinely never felt they made any difference what so ever, I still had mud in all the same places.

Anyway enjoy your new car its a beauty. MY18 SCV8 Satin flux silver

interesting on the mudguards, this is the first white car i've had in over 20 years (my missus really wanted white) i was just thinking it might keep it slightly cleaner, as she aint gonna be the out cleaning the damn thing that's for sure!

Lovely looking sport, agree the black wheels would really set it off, I have mudflaps fitted on mine, they are not that big but do stop some of the splatter, tar & chips along the sill area, should have forced your supplying dealer to supply & fit as part of the deal!

Would politely disagree

Having had a Q7 without mud guards and have velar without them I can saybthet make a big difference...when driving in rain or dirty wet roads.

I have them on RRS L494 and the underside and corners ofvrear bumper havery little grime and dirt stuck on them even after weeks of driving in the wet.

Like wise with the front half of the side skirts and sill covers

Might not make huge difference in off roading but on road..very noticeable difference. .

Lovely car by the way Thumbs Up ...enjoy many happy days of motoring

Always pleased to welcome a fellow P400e to the clan. Makes a different noise to a TVR, but not necessarily that much slower in the real world! L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

I guess it depends where you live, when I'm down here in Bedfordshire the mud guards keep the car relatively clean, but I live most of my year in the Highlands of Scotland and the roads near my house are muddy winter long and the the guards do nothing to help in these situations, which is also another reason why I won't have deployable steps as they collect more sitting mud on the actual treads and i would have expected the guards to have performed better in that regard also. MY18 SCV8 Satin flux silver
