Really glad to be in the club. I didn't realise how much this group is going to be a blessing until I looked underneath mine when it was on the ramp having the wishbines replaced. Very clearly a little knowledge about these beasts is a good thing. A lot of knowledge, as in this site is even better. I've done 7,000 miles in 6 months and looking forward to many more!

Really glad to have found a site/board that caters for my wheels!

On that subject I have 20" standard LR wheels on my RRS 2008 TDV8 and want to increase the current tyres (275/40 R20) to 275/50's or larger. Any thoughts on adjusting the ride-height using an IID tool or lift kit to accommodate this will be welcome, or would it be better to reduce the wheels to 18" then put the bigger tyres on?

I have just joined the forum, having bought my RRS on 19th Oct 2020. When giving details of my vehicle, it seems the options have not been updated to include more recent cars.....the option to select the member's model year only goes up to 2013, unless this is a browser issue for the browser I am using. Also no option to select the P400e hybrid engine/motor. Is the forum still being used?

Hi and thanks for allowing me to join the forum.

I have just bought a 2007 RRS TDV8 HSE, so hoping the forum will help me out, and where possible I can help out others.

I own a number of cars and do all my own spannering. The RRS joins a D3 TDV6, Defender 300TDi 110 CSW, a P38, and 4 Alfa Romeos.

If it is of any use to owners local to me, I have a Hawkeye diagnostic tool which has come in very handy on the P38 and D3, and I would be very happy to help others out with code reads, clearing, suspension etc.

I have not done any work on the TDV8 engine, and hope to learn a little about it here. The car comes with a few error codes I need to sort out, specifically an EGR signal low and boost pressure signal implausible (price paid for the car was commensurate with this and a few other bits and pieces). There is also a suspension error which limits the suspension to normal height which needs further investigation, but all things I am familiar with.
