Why not have a megaflush done instead? You'll change all of the oil then rather than just a percentage of it. Most of the oil sits in the torque converter and doesn't get changed when you drop the sump. It'll cost the same sort of money and does s complete change. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Where are you located? If east London then just take it to Martin Hind at Dartmouth Transmissions and Autocare. He will inspect the filter then Megaflush it.

If you're a DIYer, just flush it yourself.

i always wondered if you could do the same for an engine? drain the usual amount from the sump and then crank over the engine a few times to get the last remnants out? |

Thanks so much for that! My family own a garage so I have access to ramps and all the tools, so this is much more pleasing than paying someone to do something I can do. I'll go for the 20 to make sure I get as much as possible out Really appreciate the assistance. H |

Absolutely. You really don't need anything other than a few basic tools, a pressure sprayer and an hour of your time.

A mega flush gets all of the oil out because they connect in to the line between gearbox and cooler. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Ah, I didn't realise that. I thought it plugged into the box directly. My bad! Kev
