My EPB failed for a second time last night. Here are my thoughts (looking for a fact check).

It seems you are correct, sorry, just read it again. Have seen videos refering to manual release, perhaps on cables to rear and not electrics, oh dear read twice and then comment. |

Can you not remove the couple of bolts holding the electric actuator to the caliper and with that out the way, then wind the park brake off manually using a Torx or 12 side spline drive bit in the end of the caliper? if stuck at side of the road, or any where like that.
