I'm surprised you needed to fit it on a MY12. I thought they all had the power tailgate as standard.

I might be wrong here but I think might be getting muddled up between the powered tailgate conversion for pre MY12 cars and the powered closure mod for the MY12 on cars to close the tailgate via the key fob or dash button as well as switch in the tailgate

After reading this I reached out to Autoease and they sent over the installation guide for the RRS 05-09 so I could have a look. It's a PDF - what's the best way to share this here if anyone is interested?

You can put pdf in your gallery and just share them for there. Just to let you know for later. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Does say you can't power close it from the front dash button so I wonder if you can fit the power close mod kit used on the one piece tailgate so the button will close it as well, doesn't specifically say you can close it from the key fob either which the power close mod does as well. I think I would also ask if the original press button in the tailgate will power it open rather than having to use the dash button or key fob or if it just releases it as normal as no mention of that, I also assume the tailgate glass still opens separately as I think that would still be quite useful, as miss that a bit with the one piece tailgate.
