According to the workshop manual they are a R/H thread on the S/C's.

Club hammers no good you either need LR tool 00001 4lb (1.81 kg) lump hammer if you know what to hit it or LR tool 00002 9lb (4.08 kg) lump hammer if you know where to hit it |

Haha the hammer did the trick in the end. 36mm spanner and belted the crap out of it, was the toughest viscous I've removed.
