It should work as it is but the car will not recognise a trailer hung on it so any stability programs will not kick in, rear parking sensors won't shut down and the fog lights will stay active 2012 SDV6 HSE (technically its hers)

I've just fitted mine for our horse trailer, it only uses 12n but works fine if you don't mind muting the parking sensor when reversing

Mine has the 12n fitted but I have yet to fit the 12s, did you use a LR kit or universal?

Don’t think we’ll going anywhere with our van anytime soon so no rush. Steve

I used a LR kit from pf Jones. Took an hour and a half to fit on my own. Just had to get a hand with the rear bumper to put it somwhere it wouldn't scratch. Possible to do on your own though

Thanks Phil, was the plug for the 12s socket behind the near side panel same as 12n? Whoever fitted the 12n to my car drilled a hole in the boot floor to bring the loom into the car, don’t think the plug on the LR loom will go through it did they go the wrong way? Steve

Yes, both sockets on near side behind the number, no need for any drilling at all, remove mud flaps, remove tred plate on bumper, remove lights then remove bumper. All is there ready for you

Cheers Phil, obviously they didn’t take the bumper off to do the 12n then Confused Job on my list is rear bumper removal to clean up and de rust so I’ll do the socket then. Steve

Aaron you must have about 14 extra joints in your arms then. The D4 can be done without but needs a small child to get the last fixing in 2012 SDV6 HSE (technically its hers)
