Rang the dealer last week to find out availability for a 36 months service and cost to which they said it would cost £545 all in and could be done within a week.
Decided I would book it in over the weekend so went online to do so and the same service at the same dealer is only £495 online which made me think the dealer was taking the at £50 extra just for the joys of speaking to a person to book it ! 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Exactly. Giving a LR dealer a pocket full of your money to have them do a poor job is not "treating it".

Get thee to a decent indie, save yourself some money and get a proper job done properly.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

It needs to go back to the dealer for a few warranty jobs and also needed a service so thought I would get it all done at the same time.

They are taking the to be frank!
Any vat registered garage that uses genuine parts and follows the LR schedule (PDF copies on here somewhere) can do it and your warranty will be unaffected
Get the warranty items done under them for free and then get the service done elsewhere and save a wad of cash

Topix will give you the actual service schedule for your chassis number for each service. As long as you specify exactly to LR specs using LR parts then go to an Indy any day then you could treat it to some nice upgrades Joined the X5 45e club

The main thing I was put off by using a independent this time was that the few I spoke to in my local area all said they had never had a SVR in before but surly it's not that much different to a normal one.

Put them on the spot & ask why they are overcharging you. Chances are, you may still get it for less than online quote
