I’d be surprised if you really needed rear discs. |

When I bought the car in November, it came with an MOT advisory saying that all 4 disc brakes were worn/pitted/scorn.

I'd whizz a wheel off and check the dimensions as they are fitted to the vehicle. 10 minutes and it saves guessing. |

The only brake I’ve had squeal was when the rear right handbrake shoe lining broke down. Other than that, they’ve been silent. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

No squeaky brakes here either. I always give a smear of copperslip on the back of the pads. I know you're not supposed to, but it's an old school habit that I cannot get out of |

If you have High Performance Brakes i.e. 6 pot Brembos on Front as per Andy's picture, they will be 380mm Front and 365mm Rear if they are Standard Brakes they will be 360mm Front and 350mm Rear. As for squealing I think you will find it was the cars fitted with the 6 pot Brembo's that had the main issue, mine certainly did, L/R even bought out a revised pad they termed as Anti Squeal after numerous attempts at curing it. Several TSB's on the subject as well.

With regards to 6 pot Brembos, there was a 'mod' to the pads to stop them squealing, basically it was cutting a chamfer into the leading and trailing edge of the pads.

Don't use copper grease on brakes. Were not in the 90's any more
The bulletin says to file a chamfer into the top edge of the pad ![]() |
