Damn Dealerships

They are just doing my head in now
Sold them my car back at the beggining of august.
Got a letter this morning from the BMW finance company saying why have you cancelled your Direct debit. So rang them to find out that what was happening ,finance hasnt been payed off sir. This is despite LR saying no problems dont worry we have everything sorted.I even rang them a week after they bought the car to make sure it was sorted out. Just threaten them with legal action! Also tell them you want something for the inconvenience otherwise they will be named and shamed! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Uh... don't want to pi** on your fire but in fairness, Anton you should really always check with your lender that any balance is settled before cancelling direct debits. This would, I imagine, have been mentioned when your lender confirmed the settlement figure in writing. If you overpay because an extra direct debit is processed after settlement occurs, they are legally bound to repay it within 14 days of the settlement being made. The Financial Services Act is good for some things at least Wink Appreciate that it doesn't stop cockups, but even so Confused

This has happened to me twice before, although i never got to the stage where i missed the payment.. always chase up stealers every time i give them a car.. having a cherished plate sometimes holds something over them, as you keep the V5 for the car, so if they drag their feet, you can do so also when the new V5 arrives.. hehe.. hope it gets sorted Anton..

cheers guys

All was well, after a few stern words the MD appeared and we were quickly moved to his office Laughing

I have left the dealer today with a promise of £60 of fuel when i pickup ,stormer wheels fitted as an upgrade for £400, should have been £780 i believe. Also they have sorted the finance and payed the whole thing off. Very Happy

Also good news is they have a HSE which was on order and they have been able to allocate it to me, in my exact spec .Its built and should be at the dealership within the week ive been told.So all being well and fingers crossed it shouldnt be long now.
