The RRS1 system is pretty usless really, just as well off getting a decent aftermarket setup.

All the factory system does is flash a amber warning light on the dash indicating which wheel/tyre is low and only then if the pressure drops by around 25%. thats about it, it does nothing else.

Well low and behold it started working today! No idea why, after it being fitted for at least 12 months. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Is it just the warning you get not actual pressure readings? L494 3.0L SDV6 Autobiography in Chile Red (Current) L320 3.0L SDV6 Autobiography in Baltic Blue (RIP 29/03/2021 insurance total loss) |

Yep, no readings, just Tyre pressure monitoring available when you start the car and then a warning if a tyre pressure drops. I don’t know if it tells you which tyre but it should have that ability. I did think about retrofitting the 2014 disco 4 cluster which has the later EU legal requirement of readings however when I delved into it, I would have had to do a lot of work with the software to make it work. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

As I've said before all it does is flash a yellow warning and which wheel i.e. n/s/f, o/s/r etc. on the dash, that is it's total capabilities, no pressures, no temps even then on mine the pressure of the tyre will have to drop to around 25psi before you get any warning. If the ambient air temperature is high that also sets off false warnings. At best it could be described "better than nothing" just, taking into account it was nearly a £400.00 option one would have thought it would do a little more than that. Forgot to say it does say if set to light or heavy load when doing system check.

Well it stopped again yesterday. The system appears to work so not a loose wire. It just appears to lose comms. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
