RRS1 V8 brake upgrade - thoughts on AF kit please

At my recent service I was told there is approx 3k of wear left, no problem as I knew it was on the horizon. Now the indie uses LR parts but having seen AF offer their discount is it worth taking the opportunity of their kit?
