According to this there are gaskets fitted (£30.00 each for genuine L/R one's), in addition to having to put a couple of beads of silicone sealant in the areas marked with arrows.

Bit of an update to this, did my right side, the gaskets don't fit, so I was like well my fault for not getting oem, so I went and bought oem. Same issue their too small. Lr said they'd been revised. I ended up cutting my old gasket and patching this one with some gasket sealer. Not pretty but does the job.
